Yannis Stergis, President, Managing Director 
Yannis studied Law and Languages in Thessaloniki, GR and Brussels, B. From 1989 to 2003, he worked for two major International Publishers (Oxford University Press and Macmillan), firstly as an ELT Consultant covering the markets of Northern Greece and Cyprus, then as Commissioning Editor and followingly as Publishing Manager.
At the same time he taught English as a foreign language to young learners in private language schools in Thessaloniki, Athens and Herakleion, Crete, GR.
He also offered his legal and commissioning services to two departments of the EU.
He has carried out research on educational materials and given a number of commercial and professional seminars and presentations at major conferences and schools throughout Greece and Cyprus.
He has written and been published (both fiction and ELT books) and still writes in his blog, hyphenpedia. He also holds a regular column, 'ELT business Powwow', in ELT News.
As an owner, since 2003, he has been co-running hyphen, an ambitious company dedicated to inspiring educational businesses throughout Europe with realism, quality standards and viable practices and engineering top quality educational publishing materials for major international publishers.
He is married to Emma Parker (co-owner of hyphen) and they have two children, Anna Rachael and Savvas George.
Yannis is fluent in Greek and English and a confident speaker of Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese and German.
Emma Parker, Vice President, International Development Director 
Emma studied French Language and Literature in Oxford, UK and Grenoble, F. She also holds a TEFLA Dip from Cambridge University and various certificates in the areas of permissions and copyright and the publishing industry.
She has been involved with ELT and ELT publishing since 1994.
She taught English both in the UK and Greece. She was the Picture Research Manager for Macmillan Education, UK and also the Editorial Manager for Zenith ELT, GR and then for Macmillan Hellas.
As an owner, since 2003, she has been co-running hyphen, an ambitious company dedicated to inspiring educational businesses throughout Europe with realism, quality standards and viable practices and engineering top quality educational publishing materials for major international publishers.
She is married to Yannis Stergis (co-owner of hyphen) and they have two children, Anna Rachael and Savvas George.
Emma is fluent in English and Greek and a confident speaker of French and German.
Antonis Mavromatis, Executive Director 
Antonis Mavromatis studied Physics at AUTH, GR. His PhD, from the same university, is in Medical Informatics.
His speciality lies with state-of-the-art IT applications, programming and networks. He is an IT teacher and ha worked for outstanding private schools of the Thessaloniki area.
Currently he is in charge of the IT educational department of Mandoulides Schools. For years he worked for ECDL Hellas as a senior auditor, project manager and product associate.
Antonis is married with two children, Kiveli and Stelios and is a fluent Greek and English speaker.
Vicky Xinou, Creative Director 
Vicky studied Graphic Design in Greece and the UK. After working in advertising for a short period she reverted to her true love, book design.
She's been working with hyphen for the last couple of years indulging in typography and juggling between design and management.
She has also worked as a tutor in Graphic Design courses at a local college and as a freelance designer.
She always enjoys the company of people, arts and travelling.
She's fluent in Greek and English and also speaks Turkish and French.
